I, Robot

So I got my exam results back and the verdict is clear: I am not going to the college I want.

Anyway, I still have the 2nd phase exams (on the 22nd and the 25th of July), so these can help, but STILL. I don't know.
Well, two of the exams I'm going to take are English exams, so tonight I simply shut my bedroom's door, browsed through Livejournal entries of my friends and read them aloud, to test my english (remember, I may say I'm from the USA, but I'm lying) and, then, I started talking to myself about my life. It was really sad, talking to myself, but ... it was for the 'greater good' (meaning, so I will finally get out of this stupid town and move on with my life somewhere else).

(I just completely wrote something very sentimental and personal here, so I decided to delete it, because really, that's not what this blog is about.)

On another note, I just reread Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and am ready to see the second part in the cinema! I am also ready to get on with my reading list, despite the fact that, well, I don't really have time for that. Who knows, though? I may just become a robot and not need to sleep at all. How awesome would that be?

The Book List + Drooling!

Note: My Blogger name used to be Melody Aruba but, as I explained in the first post I made, it was a fake name, such as my location (I'm not even English). Therefore, since I felt bad for lying so much, I changed it to Kate Sylvester. Kate is a variation of my real name, and Sylvester is one of my father's middle names, and is close enough to my last name. Just wanted to explain that.

Okay! So, this past Saturday was my 18th birthday which, where I live, means I'm officially an adult. I can get my driver's license, I can smoke, drink, etc. Funnily enough, one week before I turned 18, I decided to stop smoking and drinking. Hm. The license? Can't afford it right now.

Anyway. My birthday gift was 'The Name of the Wind', by Patrick Rothfuss.

I had asked my parents for this book many months ago, and now I finally got it! However, I had to make a list of books I have to read, because believe it or not, there are some still waiting in line.

The list:
  • A Clash of Kings - George R.R. Martin - started
  • A Storm of Swords - George R.R. Martin
  • A Feast for Crows - George R.R. Martin
  • A Dance with Dragons - George R.R. Martin
  • Tristan and Isold - Joseph Bedier
  • Romeo and Juliet - William Shakespeare
  • The Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss
And that's it, I guess. Next week I'll have exams again, and then in August I start working. So, actually, I have no idea how I'll read all of this before the summer ends. OH and I want to reread Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before going to see the last part in the cinema!

I know, this post had absolutely no funny content at all. So, here's a drawing of me sleeping:

(Text is so boring. Seriously.)
